A firm favourite for many of the world's top guitarists this past seven decades, the Gretsch Jet is a timeless classic. For the G5230T, Gretsch have taken that familiar sense of style and class, added some modern adjustments, and produced it at a price point that won't cost a fortune.
Featuring that familiar single-cutaway design, a set of Filter'Tron Black Top pickups, an Adjustomatic bridge with a Bigsby Stoptail Vibrato, and much more besides, this Electromatic Jet FT in Firebird Red would make a welcome addition to any guitarist's collection.
Filter'Tron Pickups
Just like the Gretsch Jets of yesteryear, the G5230T comes equipped with a pair of Black Top Filter'Tron humbuckers. These pickups work perfectly in tandem with the Jet FT's chambered body, and produce a wide, balanced and transparent tone.
Their sound is often described as loud and punchy, but don't let this deter you - even at high gain levels, these pickups produce a remarkable amount of definition.
In technical terms, the Black Top Filter'Trons produce full, responsive lows and mids, with just enough high end sparkle to retain their famous levels of clarity.
High End Electronics
Not only are the above mentioned pickups a fantastic addition to this guitar, but the electronic control system is designed to match. Featuring individual pickup Volume controls, alongside a Master Tone and Master Volume (with a built-in treble bleed circuit*), you get intuitive source-level tone-shaping control.
*The Treble Bleed circuit is designed to allow you to adjust the guitar's overall volume levels without negatively affecting your tone
