The Fender Baja Telecaster combines vintage-style hardware, custom wirings, custom '69 pickups and unique neck profiles, all rolled into a classic Telecaster body.
A Classic Series 'Plank' with awesome custom shop mods!
When Fender tasked Custom Shop technicians Dennis Galuzka, Gregory Fessler and Chris Fleming to build a Telecaster from the finest components available, the end result is this stunning Classic Player 'Baja' Telecaster. Its name is inspired from the Fender factory in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, where some of their most inspirational guitars are conceived.
Solid Ash BodyThe ash body is the classic Telecaster 'plank' shape and is adorned with a single-ply black pickguard and Blonde finish. A truly vintage combination, adored by players for decades.
Versatile Pickup RoutingThe Baja Telecaster has been built squarely with great tone in mind. This Classic Player edition is modded with a pair of Custom Shop single-coil pickups, but with a special 4-position blade switch and 2-position S-1 switch. You can really dive into some experimental sounds and interesting tone combinations with this custom wiring setup, ranging from classic Tele twang to out-of-phase parallel tones.
Custom Shop Neck
A soft V neck profile strays away from the conventional Fender 'Modern C' shaped neck which gives this Tele a unique playing action. It's fast, comfortable and versatile enough for most styles of player. It just 'feels' like a Custom Shop special!
