IMP Snare Drum
Much like the rest of its Imp drum kit family, the Imp snare drum punches well above its weight, giving an extremely powerful sound that defies its small stature.
The cold pressed maple shell is 10.5mm thick and delivers that unexpectedly big sound.
Cold Press Moulding
Key to the British Drum Company’s signature sound is the cold press moulding process. The timber and shells used by the British Drum Co. are left to naturally acclimatise to the surrounding environment both before and after being moulded so they are shaped perfectly.
With years of experience in wood working and drum shell manufacturing, the British Drum Co. cite this method as the secret ingredient to their incredible sound.
With the absence of heat during the pressing and moulding process, it makes for an incredibly stable drum shell.
Palladium Hardware
As with all British Drum Co.’s snares, the Imp snare drum comes with their new palladium snare lug with its design based on the art-deco period and it gives life and identity to their great equipment.
It is also with a British traditional snare strainer and snare straps which help give a smoother on-off action. All hoops are 2.3mm triple flange for a more responsive feel and all tension rods are fitted with a 3mm thick black nylon washer to aid smoother tuning and reduce the chance of de-tuning.
