New Fender Guitars, Amps, Pedalboards and More Revealed
Fender has today announced a whole host of new and exciting gear, including some awesome Artist Series guitars, stylish Squier Paranormal additions, and a range of elegant Pedalboards.
Read on to find out our favourite bits of kit, all available soon at PMT Online or at your local store!
New Limited Edition Squier FSR Bullet Telecasters
Available in Olympic White or Black, these attractive Teles offer all of the classic tones that you’ve come to expect. With a comfortable C-shaped neck profile, 3-way single coil switching and a string-through-body hardtail bridge, these limited instruments won’t be around for long.
New Squier Paranormal Series
These all-new colour offerings are an exciting refresh to the original Paranormal Series that had guitar aficionados watering at the mouth last year.
With updates to the Toronado, Telecaster, Cyclone, Super-Sonic and Jazz Bass models, these snazzy instruments are suited to those who revel in experimentalism and off-kilter looks.
Our top-pick is the Super-Sonic - featuring Squier Atomic Humbucking Pickups and a reverse offset body, it's sure to turn heads at every opportunity.
Check out the Cabronita Telecaster Thinline model too, which gives you Jazzmaster single coils for an incredibly unique tone.
This one is for the shoegazers out there, as Fender has announced a range of super-sleek pedalboards for you to cram your stompboxes on to.
Available in Small, Medium, or Large, these anodized aluminium boards feature convenient cable routing clips and a universal power supply mounting bracket - so powering your pedals won’t take up any extra board space.
All three models come with a carry case included, so they’re perfectly suited for taking out on the road and streamlining your live set-up.
New Fender Cory Wong Signature Stratocaster
A tribute to Cory’s favourite Stratocaster, this epic axe features a Modern D-shape neck and Seymour Duncan® Cory Wong Clean Machine Single-Coil pickups in the neck and middle positions.
The Master Volume control features Treble Bleed alongside the standard Tone controls, perfect for nailing the funky chops and inventive lead parts that have seen Vulfpeck sell-out arenas and Cory receive Grammy-nominations for his solo work.
New Kurt Cobain Jag-Stang
One of the most highly-sought silhouettes offered by Fender, these new tributes to Kurt Cobain are the face of 90’s alternative rock.
Alongside Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, Kurt became the guitar hero for a new generation - playing offset Fender guitars with a punk-infused energy that is still as relevant today as it ever has been.
J Mascis Telecaster
Renowned for his instantly recognisable tone, the main man from Dinosaur Jr is back with a gorgeous Dazzling Blue Sparkle Telecaster.
Based on J’s favourite 1958 top-loader Tele, it also features a chrome mirrored pickguard, custom pickups, and a Road Worn neck and hardware.
Run this beauty into a wall of amps and a couple of fuzz pedals to get somewhere close to the legendary J Mascis sound!
Fender Tone Master Super Reverb Combo
A new Fender amplifier can never be a bad thing, and that certainly continues to be the case here.
A new addition to the hugely popular Tone Master series, this 4x10 Super Reverb gives players 200 watts of power via 4 Jensen P10R speakers.
With two high-quality IR Line Outs and authentic channel options, this amp models the Super Reverb so well that it’s virtually indistinguishable from an original - and at 16.3kgs, it’s almost half the weight too.
New Fender Acoustic Guitars
AFender are really treating their Acoustic players with this launch, providing a variety of different models aimed at different types of players.
Our favourite is the Redondo Mini - featuring a spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides, this guitar is small but sounds huge! The 6-in-line Strat headstock looks sophisticated and is inspired by Fender’s electric legacy, whilst other premium features include a walnut fingerboard and bridge and Nubone nut and saddle.
The CC-60S features a solid cedar top and walnut construction, and the rolled fingerboard edges make this one of the easiest to play acoustic necks you can find.
The FA-135CE combines classic Fender craftsmanship with Fishman electronics for a guitar that is 100% stage-ready from the get-go. Equipped with a Fender 3+3 headstock, beginners and developing players will appreciate the nato neck for its lively tone and smooth playability.
Last but by no means least, the Fender accessories range - and there are some great new bits of kit here that you need to get your hands on.
We particularly love the Laurel Capo, which is available in underhand or overhand configurations depending on how you prefer to play. The design is compact and unobtrusive but still maintains solid tuning stability, with the grip ensuring equalized tension across the strings.
There are multiple new Fender guitar strap options, too - whether you prefer Neon or Tie-Dye, you can now express yourself through your strap in the same way you do with your axe. Plus, Fender is now offering a completely Vegan Leather Guitar Strap - for the first time ever you can have the look and feel of a broken-in leather strap, entirely animal-free.
If you’re always losing cables at live shows then you’ll definitely want to take advantage of the Glow-in-the-Dark Instrument Cable range - made with high-quality materials, they retain every aspect of your tone and are available in 3 fluorescent colours.
Glow-in-the-Dark guitar picks look set to be a lifesaver too, but we particularly love the Fender ‘Chugg’ plectrums. These picks replicate real tortoiseshell, and at 1.5mm they’re ideal for those who want a heavy attack on their sound. With a double-bevel at the tip for a played-in feel and textured logos for grip, Fender has covered every last detail with this range of accessories.
