A Stunning Example of Ibanez Expertise
For the past three decades the Ibanez SR bass lineup has been offering high-performance alternatives to bassists looking for something a little different to the norm. Premium-Quality Construction
With the word "Premium" as part of the product name, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was hubris on the part of Ibanez, but that's not the case. The Ibanez Premium SR2400 Electric Bass Florid Natural is every bit as premium-quality as the name suggests.
Featuring a gorgeous Figured Maple cap sitting atop an African Mahogany body, a Titanium reinforced Atlas 5-piece neck, string space adjustable bridge, and a set of versatile Aguilar humbuckers with an active 3-band EQ, the Ibanez SR2400 would make an ideal instrument for the working professional.
Atlas Neck
This 5-piece neck is solidly constructed from Panga Panga and Purpleheart woods, which provide plenty of tonal character. It's topped with a Panga Panga fretboard too, which adds plenty of note attack.
In addition to this, the famed slim grip shape prevalent in all SR basses is perfectly complimented on the SR2400 by a Premium fret edge treatment, offering superior levels of playability.
To add even more stability, the neck is constructed with KTS Titanium reinforcement rods, which also helps to increase the SR2400's natural sustain.
Aguilar Super Double Pickups
Made with two rows of Alnico V pole pieces, the Aguilar Super Double humbuckers on the SR2400 create a thick yet articulate tone. This is further complimented by the Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ, that features a 3-way Mid frequency switch, and even an EQ bypass for when you want to play in Passive Mode.
Adjustable Bridges
A familiar sight at the top end of the Ibanez catalogue, the MR5S bridge is superior to a standard fixed bridge for many reasons, but two of them stand out above the rest.
Firstly, the nature of each string having it's own individual bridge allows for greater string vibration transference to the body, giving the bass a more natural tone.
Secondly, each bridge saddle is adjustable, meaning you can make the spacing between each stringer wider or more narrow by 1.5mm, opening up a whole range of potential playstyles to you.
