With the Alvarez MFA66SHB you get a beautiful Folk guitar that's been constructed from all-solid African Mahogany, finished in Shadowburst with a thin Gloss coating.
You'd be forgiven for thinking these high-specced guitars would cost a small fortune, but they represent some of the best quality instruments available in their price range.
Exquisite Tonewoods
The all-mahogany construction of each of the Alvarez MFA66SHB is 100% solid tonewoods, in keeping with all other Masterwork series. This helps the guitar to produce a harmonically rich voice with pleny of warm overtones, projected loudly and clearly.
In this particular case, the guitar is constructed with a Top, Back and Sides made from Solid African Mahogany. An all-mahogany construction is ideal for flat-pickers and strummers, providing you with an earthy, folk-like sound akin to what you'd expect from a traditional acoustic Blues performance.
Forward Shifted X-Bracing
The positioning of the guitar's bracing - in this case, Forward Shifted - is as important to the instrument's voice as anything else on the guitar. With the Forward Shifted X-Bracing, the Alvarez MFA66SHB ensures a more natural resonance from the top wood, resulting in a much more open sound, with clear bass fundamentals and plenty of projection.
