With the Alvarez MD60EBG you get a beautiful electro acoustic guitar constructed with a Solid AA Sitka Spruce top, Solid African Mahogany back and sides, and finished in a thin Gloss coating. This guitar is perfectly designed with the flatpicker and heavy strummer in mind, delivering on all fronts in every performance.
Premium-Grade Construction
Every care has been taken to ensure that the Alvarez MD60EBG is of a fantastic quality. Each of the tone woods are carefully cured, each component carefully designed, and even the paint used in the finish was carefully selected to bring you a guitar that's both stylish and toneful.
Add to this the inclusion of an FST2 Forward Shifted, Scalloped X-Bracing, and you have a guitar that's made with the consummate performer in mind. This bracing system allows the solid Spruce top wood to resonate more freely than with standard bracing, resulting in more projection, and making the guitar perfect for live performances.
Exquisite Tonewoods
When pairing a solid Spruce top with solid Mahogany back and sides, the tonal outcome is exquisite. Whilst the Spruce provides the guitar with a bright and well-projected voice, the Mahogany produces a tone that's both vibrant and rich in harmonic overtones, making the guitar suitable for a wide range of musical genres, from folk to country and beyond.
