Traditional Flamenco Guitar, with Lightweight Construction
With the Alvarez CF6 you get a CadÃz series Flamenco guitar, with a traditional Spruce and Cypress tonewood combination, and which has been lovingly crafted in Andalusia: birthplace of the modern Classical guitar (originally designed in the 19th Century by Antonio de Torres Jurado).
Traditional Flamenco Tonewood Choices
As with many of the more popular Flamenco style guitars, the Alvarez CF6 is constructed with a solid Spruce top and a Cypress back and sides. This combination brings together the clear and springy bounce of the Spruce with the bright and percussive characteristics of the Cypress to deliver that recognisable Flamenco sound.
Professional-Grade Construction
Featuring a more lightly-built soundbox, and a topwood fitted with an asymmetric fan bracing system and treble bar, this guitar produces a beautiful voice with bell-like trebles and a very open, clear and strong bass response.
Fan bracing systems are used more on Classical and Flamenco guitars, due to their design allowing the top to move more freely. This results in a guitar that is both resonant and responsive - ideal for fingerstyle players.
