Expert Crafting
A popular guitar style in the early 20th century, the parlour guitar was used a lot by blues artists because of its tight and articulate tone.
Due to its small size, the Alvarez AP70W is very comfortable to hold and great to pick up and play around your home.
Solid A+ Sitka Spruce has been used for the top of the Alvarez AP70. Probably the most popular wood in guitar building, and certainly one of the most versatile, Spruce delivers a broad range of tones making it suitable for virtually any style.
Walnut has been used for the back and sides of the Alvarez AP70W, enhancing the bass and trebles of your tone.
Furthermore, thanks to its darker colour, the Walnut back and sides present a great visual contrast to the lighter coloured Spruce top.
All In The Detail
Attached to the body is a Mahogany which holds a Pau Ferro fretboard featuring Abalone and Mother of Pearl inlays.
The body construction is strengthened by ABS ivory binding which also adds to the aesthetics of the Alvarez AP70W parlour guitar.
An FST2 bracing system is present in the guitar, with forward shifted x-style bracing allowing the soundboard more freedom of movement. As a result, you get increased volume and improved tone.
The bracing and asymmetrical tone bars are also scalloped, increasing the movement area of the soundboard for further enhanced sound.
Within the guitar, forward shifted, X-style bracing is used, giving the soundboard more room to move therefore producing louder, more resonant tones.
The headstock features a set of premium tuning machines providing precise and secure tuning of your strings.
Genuine bone has been used for the nut and saddle, increasing sustain while adding a natural character to your tone.
