With the Alvarez AD60CE you get a beautiful Artist Series Dreadnought-style acoustic guitar with a Lower Bout Cutaway, that's been constructed from solid A+ Sitka Spruce and Mahogany for the back and sides, finished in a thin Gloss coating.
You'd be forgiven for thinking these high-specced guitars would cost a small fortune, but they represent some of the best quality instruments available in their price range. However, as you can see above, they come at a more than affordable price!
Excellent Tonewood Choices
When pairing a solid Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides, the tonal outcome is exquisite. Whilst the Spruce provides the guitar with a bright and well-projected voice, the Mahogany produces a tone that's both vibrant and rich in harmonic overtones, making the guitar suitable for a wide range of musical genres, from folk to country and beyond.
