Comfortable Body, Comfortable Neck
The Yamaha TRBX505 5-String Bass in Brick Burst comes with a sculptured mahogany body. Balanced for comfort and with ideal weight distribution. Perfect for 5 String Basses, as they tend to hold more weight than their 4-String friends.
A 5-pc maple/mahogany laminated neck is snuggly bolted on to the body. With a precision-engineered bolt-on neck joint. Offering ease of play supporting comfort for the fretting hand.
With a Rosewood fingerboard atop. Allowing ultimate upper neck access and fast neck navigation.
The nut is a sleek 43mm width. Slim for a 5-String Bass. Meaning you'll have a firm grip, without over-stretching.
Exclusive Versatile Electronics
The labcoats at Yamaha have created a pair of versatile pickups. And installed them into this bass.
Offering a crystal clear tone, right down to the lowest end. MAtching with an extremely flexible active/passive preamp. With a quad-pole piece design and alnico magnets.
Sending power to the active circuit, and subtle sound to the passive circuit.
The Yamaha tech offers a level-matched output. Doesn't matter if you're in passive or active mode. The tone-switching circuit moves the treble control to master passive tone.
A battery alert LED installed on the back panel gives an instant indication of low power. To reduce power loss when you're performing.
Durable Hardware
A high-mass die-cast bridge is fitted to the body. With 18mm string spacing. It transfers string vibration presenting a full sound, with a plethora of richness.
The bridge is easily adjustable, perfect for detailing your intonation.
With five Black Nickel Die-cast tuners, the string stability is fantastic. And a metal plate-mounted standard jack socket offers solid durability and easy maintenance.
