100% Birch Shells

Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System
Another great feature found on the Yamaha Stage Custom Birch drum set is the Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System, or YESS.
This system provides minimum contact between the shell and hardware. It also connects the hardware at the nodal point of the drum; the point where it won't interfere with the shell's vibration.
Nylon bushings are used on rod clamps in order to give you maximum stability. Floor toms also benefit from YESS, giving you wide open sustain while keeping the tom completely stable no matter how hard you play.
As a bonus, the YESS system allows you to place the toms closer together and it won't affect quick head changes.
Other Great Features
Many other features go into the Yamaha Stage Custom Birch shell pack to ensure a fantastic set of drums.
One such feature is the ball mount and clamp which has a large, ultra-hard resin ball in great looking, chromed housing which is held in place with a titanium ergonomic wing bolt.
Extremely drummer-friendly, this mount offers non-slip positioning pretty much wherever you could imagine. Furthermore, it allows you to tune the bottom head by simply rotating the drum!
Die-cast claw hooks are in use, featuring rubber insertion plates which reduce noise while the bass drum legs feature stoppers to make setting even easier.
