The body of the Yamaha SA2200 is made from laminated figured maple which not only aids bright resonance but looks fantastic too.
Within the body, which is otherwise hollow, is a solid block of wood. This centre-block enhances sustain while improving feedback resistance.
As a result, the Yamaha SA2200 semi-acoustic guitar can give you all manner of tones from clean and mellow jazz sounds to the hearty and aggressive growl of a solid body guitar.
Attached to the body is a premium grade mahogany neck which holds a highly playable ebony fretboard.
Allowing for easy reach of the high frets, the Yamaha SA2200 has a double cutaway style body shape.

Versatile Electronics
The main driving force behind the Yamaha SA2200's versatile voice is a set of custom wound Alnico V pickups.
These humbucking pickups have what you need to give you everything from powerful and girthy tones to crisp and clean notes.
A three-way toggle is on hand allowing you to switch between using both pickups at once or either pickup individually.
You can really shape your sound with each pickups' dedicated volume and tone controls.
Furthermore, the tone controls have a push-push feature so you can coil-split each humbucker effectively turning them into single-coil pickups, doubling the sounds available to you.
