Professional Construction
The body of the Yamaha Pacifica 611VFMX is constructed out of alder, producing a very resonant and balanced tone with the upper mids appearing through with long sustain and delivered attack. The Root Beer satin finish on this flamed maple top, gives this guitar a stunning visual aesthetic, that will look amazing on stage, and the stylish aluminum scratchplate finishes off this visual treat. A comfortable maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium frets makes fretting this instrument a dream.
Seymour Duncan Pickups
The guitar comes with a P-90 Seymour Duncan SP90-1N Neck Pickup and a Seymour Duncan TB-14 Humbucker in the bridge. The Seymour Duncan P-90 neck pickup gives that vintage sparkle and growl that you'd expect from a P-90. The dual alnico 5 magnets gives a powerful midrange and higher output than most types of single coils, sweet and smooth, delivering big fat chords. The Seymour Duncan TB-14 in the Bridge is Custom 5 Trembucker with a scooped midrange, balanced bass and treble, and a high output. The combination of these two pickups and the push-pull coil split gives this guitar huge tonal versatility and advantage over other guitars.
Wilkinson VS-50 Trem System
This Yamaha guitar also features the Wilkinson VS-50 Vibrato, which allows gentle gleaming modulations over chords and single notes while the Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners on the headstock deliver a precise and stable tuning of the Yamaha Pacifica 611VFMX.
