Featuring a classic shaped body, the Medium-Jumbo 'LJ' body is built using toneful rosewood, complete with a lavish solid Engelmann spruce top for extra warmth and resonance. Finished in a dark tint and complete with detailed mother of pearl inlays, the Yamaha LJ16ARE looks truly exquisite.

Thanks to Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E) technology developments, the LJ16ARE benefits from an innovative and advanced process that opens the wood up, just as it would naturally over time.
This process stimulates the ageing of the wood that a guitar would benefit from naturally over time - speeding it up to bring the woods to their peak-performance levels, bringing a rich, vintage quality that you wouldn't usually experience for at least 15 years, often as late as 25.
Resonant & Robust
Complete with Yamaha's new non-scalloped bracing design, the LJ16ARE retains the bright characteristics of the L series whilst enhancing low-end projection, in a perfectly balanced, well-bodied tone.
Whether unplugged or amplified, you can be sure o capture the same dynamic range, thanks to the under saddle Zero Impact Passive Piezo Pickup - discrete and diverse, it faithfully reproduces the natural tones for live, amplified situations.
