Building on the design and quality of Yamaha’s hugely popular F series, the YamahaFSX820C is comfortable to play and is ideally priced as a starter guitar, rich in features that you might expect from a much higher end instrument.
Yamaha specifically created the F series of acoustic guitars with the goal of offering quality instruments at reasonable price points allowing beginners and regular musicians to have access to the guitar, since then Yamaha acoustics have become one of the most popular acoustic guitars in the world, There have been a few changes since and Yamaha continue to improve their guitars for the demands of the modern player.
For 2016 Yamaha have introduced new scalloped bracing for more volume, more projection, more low end & bigger tone for the player. The new bracing moves the resonant centre much closer to the middle of the guitar, with a big impact on both the tone & feel of the guitar. Furthermore the FS-models get a shallower body (90-110mm) compared to the 700 series (100-120mm) for improved playability especially for beginners.
