Crafting the WGJ7S
The resonating top of the WGJ7S is made from solid Spruce, an extremely popular tonewood in modern acoustic guitars due to its combination of strength and elasticity which results in a broad dynamic range with crisp articulation of the highs and smooth low-end tones.
Being solid, the spruce top will improve with time becoming more resonant and enhancing the guitar’s tone.
For the back and sides, Washburn have opted for Mahogany. Already adding the guitar’s visual beauty, the Mahogany adds fantastic midrange to your tone and is known for its great balance and articulation.
Attached to the body is a Mahogany neck with an Ovangkol fretboard, offering a great playing surface.
