Deluxe Grand Concert Guitar
As a Grand Concert guitar, the Taylor 812ce 12-Fret DLX has a more focused sound than you get from larger sizes such as dreadnought and jumbo guitars.
With its direct, intimate and articulate sound, it is ideal for fingerstyle and solo performance as well as studio recording.
Crafting the Taylor 812ce 12-Fret DLX
Made with what many proclaim the ultimate acoustic guitar wood combination, the Taylor 812ce 12-Fret DLX has a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides.
Sitka Spruce is Taylor’s favourite top wood because of its broad dynamic range, rich tone and versatility.
Similarly, the Indian Rosewood used for the back and sides is extremely versatile and imbues your tone with rich character and extra volume.
A Venetian cutaway to the body adds modern playability giving you access to the higher frets while its elegant slope adds to the great looks of this gorgeous guitar.
V-Class Bracing
A great leap forward from more common X-style bracing, Taylor have launched their innovative V-Class bracing.
This new bracing type manages to keep the stiffness of the resonating top while allowing it to be extremely flexible.
As a result, you get a lot more volume and increased sustain. Furthermore; the top will be much more in tone with the strings so you get a crisper, less muddy sound from the guitar.
Playing Comfort
Adding to your playing comfort so you can play better for longer are a few great features.
One such feature is the ergonomic radius armrest which has Indian Rosewood binding tying it together with the overall aesthetic of the guitar.
Attached to the body via sturdy scarf joint is a Tropical Mahogany neck that has a super smooth Satin finish so your hand will just glide up and down it.
What’s more, with the neck joining the body at the 12th fret, it’s more compact and manageable to hold than its 14-fret counterpart.
Atop the neck is a beautifully smooth West African Ebony fretboard providing you with a great fingering area.
