The exotic solid tonewood of the K26ce Hawaiian Koa holds captivating beauty right out the box, but as a long-term investment it ages beautifully over time.
Not only does Koa develop a more focused mid-range with repeated playing over the years, it's natural voice is bright and focused, with warm overtones that slowly emerge, adding sweetness and depth. This high-end 'chime' can be attributed to the slightly more dense nature of Koa wood which isn't always present on an equivalent all-Mahogany guitar.
As a result, finger-picking and melodic players alike will appreciate the wonderful tone this guitar has to offer.
Captivatingly Beautiful With a Tone That Blossoms Over Time
The Grand Symphony's dimensions are slightly up-sized from the Grand Auditoriumâ€"expansions include a higher and wider waist, and a bigger, more rounded lower bout. The lower mids have an extra roundness and girth that add richness and complexity to the Koa voice.
Playability is enhanced thanks to Taylor's NT neck design, and an elegant venetian cutaway for easy access to the upper note register. The swirling Island Vine on ebony fretboard inlay celebrates the wood's elegant presence and makes playing this guitar even more satisfying.
