Tama Starclassic 22" 4pc Shell Packs are all about the manufacturer's newest hybrid shell, featuring the maple and birch tonewoods.
These shells offer drummers complex, powerful and expressive tones supported by the rugged Starclassic performance you've come to know and love.
Part of the all-new Starclassic Performer range, this series evolves the Starclassic legacy to provide a unique sonic component that redefines the art of professional drum sounds and expression that's very affordable for every drummer.
Shells - An expertly-engineered blend of maple and birch. Both tonewoods combine to produce an exciting range of drum tones.
These shells feature 4 or 5 plies of birch with 2 inner plies of maple. Maple is one of the most popular cuts for drums the world over, due to its warm, bright sounds and tonal versatility.
Meanwhile, birch offers cutting projection and unmatched levels of attack. Those inner layers of maple are the sweetness at the core of the Performer Shell Pack, with the power of the outer birch layers helping you project your playing to the world.
Tom Mount -Just one of the aforementioned high-end features. The Star-Cast Mounting System has always provided maximum resonance and stability for Tama's professional drums.
Not only does this mounting system allow your toms to sing with their most natural tones, but its streamlined design makes it easier to position the toms closer together for greater comfort and ease of playing.
Finish - Piano Black, there is nothing classier than this finish, under lights it glistens like a magical mirror as if the shells arent really there, and in person it just oozes awesomeness.
You really can't go wrong with this finish, its all very well having a glittery number but there is just something about the deep darkness that is piano black on drum shells.
