The Tama Ergo Rider Drum Throne is a hybrid of a round and a saddle style seat to provide optimum comfort and support. It offers the manoeuvrability of a round top stool with the playing support of a saddle throne, making it the best of both worlds.

Hybrid Top Stool for Comfort and Support

Most drummers will tell you that if you're not sat comfortably when playing it affects your whole playing experience. If you feel uncomfortable, don't feel set to the right height and don't feel stable or supported you're not going to enjoy your time behind the kit. That's why it's so important to find a stool that works for you.

Tama have combined the best bits of the common round top stool and the popular saddle style seat to offer an ergonomic option that provides comfort and support. The front cutaway allows for unimpeded thigh movement to accommodate even the most fast-moving double bass pedal work. The seat top also features two gentle indentations and a 20mm upper insert of soft foam to encourage the right posture while playing.

1st Chair Adjustment & Glide-Tide Grip Joint

Tama have designed their proprietary 1st chair height adjustment system which combines a threaded rod throne with the T-bolt system to offer easy and fast height adjustment. This in conjunction with their Glide-Tite Grip Joint ensures a solid and secure seating position. The Glide-Tide Grip Joint uses a metal-to-metal contact point to form a very solid base attachment for even the heaviest hitters.

Seat Lock & Rocklok

The Ergo Rider also features a seat lock that uses a two-piece locking hinge collar system that creates superior base to seat connection. The oversized wing nut also allows easy and secure tightening which prevents the wobble that usually affects where the seat and throne base connect.

Tama have also developed a specifically designed "Rocklok" Nylon Bushing that sits at the bottom of the throne's threaded rod and stops it from moving side-to-side within the base, a common problem with most drum thrones. This makes for an exceptionally stable stool.

The stool also features a super stable throne base design which uses a lower centre of gravity and double braced tripod legs. The oversized rubber feet further add to the stability of the throne.
