An Affordable Modern Take on a Classic
While nitially marketed towards Jazz guitarists towards the end of the 1950s, the Jazzmaster instead found favour amongst the emerging Surf Rock and Indie Rock circuits of the 60s and 70s. By the early 90s this fabulous instrument was a favourite amongst many on the emerging Grunge scene, because of its unique looks and versatile range of tones.
For the Affinity Series Jazzmaster HH though, Squier have taken this one step further with the inclusion of two Humbucker pickups (instead of the usual Jazzmaster single coils). While these pickups make it ideal for heavier and more aggressive music genres, the Squier Affinity Series Jazzmaster remains as versatile as an aspiring guitarist could wish for.
Squier Affinity Jazzmaster's Offset-Waist
One of the Jazzmaster's defining characteristics, from the day of its initial release until the modern age, is the unique body shape. This "offset-waist" design was initially aimed at Jazz/Blues players, as it makes the guitar much more comfortable to play than other models whilst sitting down.
Combine that with the super-affordable price of this guitar, and you have an instrument that's perfect for complete beginners still learning to get to grips with the instrument.
"C"-Shaped Neck
A firm favourite amongst guitar players since the 1960s, the "C"-Shaped neck profile offers an incredibly comfortable playing experience. This neck is shaped to sit comfortably in your hand, and grants your fingers easy access across the entire fretboard in any position.

Named after the fact that they literally "buck the hum" usually associated with Single Coil pickups, these Dual-Coil beauties really thicken up your sound.
Perfect for heavier music styles (whether it's rock, metal, or even blues), these pickups sound great when put through a clean channel, but fantastic when used with overdrive/distortion effects.
