The SPL BIG is a stereo imaging processor designed specifically for the 500 Series format. It introduces a fresh and innovative approach to manipulating the sound field in your mix, allowing you to precisely widen any track. With its frequency-focused stereo processing capabilities, the BIG empowers you to select a specific frequency range using the Range control.
Once the range is set, you can use the Stage control to position the selected frequencies forward or backwards in the stereo field. To further tailor the effect, the Bigness control enables you to adjust the depth and intensity of the processing applied.
In addition to its core functionality, the SPL BIG incorporates several convenient features. The bypass switch allows you to easily activate or deactivate the module, enabling quick A/B comparisons between the processed and unprocessed signals.
The stereo processor also features a pair of LEDs that indicate signal presence in the left and right channels. Lastly, the BIG includes a passive bass filter that ensures a boost in the low frequencies after processing, preserving the impact and punch of the low end.
