The ZIO Analog Bass Preamp + DI is a versatile, all-analogue preamp and DI designed for bass guitars. This pedal provides ultra-low noise and offers a straightforward yet flexible set of tone-shaping controls. It's equipped with various features that make it suitable for both stage and studio applications.
ZIO Analog Bass Preamp + DI Features
- OUTPUT: Adjusts the output level, offering up to +12dB of boost and a significant amount of cut.
- BASS & FOCUS: The BASS control increases low-end output, while the FOCUS control adjusts the cut-off point of a high-pass filter, eliminating excessive lows and enhancing punch.
- TREBLE: Boosts or cuts high frequencies for improved articulation without introducing harshness.
- GRIT: A toggle switch that engages a mild distortion, simulating the transformer-style breakup from high-end bass amps. The gain level for GRIT mode can be adjusted with the side-mounted GAIN control.
- SCOOP: Another toggle switch that activates a midrange cut, cleaning up muddy mid-range frequencies.
- The pedal offers three outputs that can be used individually or simultaneously:
- OUTPUT jack: Connects to an amplifier or pedalboard.
- DIRECT OUT: Balanced XLR output for connection to a mixer or audio interface for recording or live sound applications.
- HEADPHONE jack: Features a high dynamic range, low-noise amplifier for direct monitoring with low impedance studio headphones.
Adaptable to be used with any Bass – The “+/-12V” high voltage rails are installed for use with active and passive basses. Direct Monitoring – The ZIO has a Headphone output so you can directly monitor your sound on the go. Connect to your Amplifier or Pedalboard – Connect to your gear with the OUTPUT jack with ease.
