What's A Baritone?
A Baritone is simply a six-stringed guitar with a longer-than-typical scale length, that's tuned to a lower pitch than a standard guitar.
This longer scale length allows you to tune the guitar from C to C, B to B, or even A to A whilst retaining the right amount of tension.
Baritone guitars have been used on popular recordings as far back as the early 1960s, and have been adopted by a number of modern metal players in recent years due to their lower tuning registers.

With its lightweight Swamp Ash body, and super-sleek Thin "C"-shaped multi-ply neck, the Schecter C-1 EX Apocalypse offers a truly comfortable playing experience, despite the longer scale length.
Due to the dual cutaway "horns" on the body, and the new Ultra Access heel carve, each and every note across the neck is within easy reach. Additionally, the fast-playing neck ensures that you can arrive there as quickly as you wish.
In addition to this, the carbon-fibre reinforcement rods and the Set Neck construction combine for incredible levels of natural sustain as well as structural integrity.
Apocalypse Humbuckers
No Shecter Apocalypse lineup guitar would be complete without a set of aggressive, tonally detailed pickups. These Apocalypse humbuckers feature Alnico V magnets, which deliver a fast, aggressive sound, with rich tonal qualities.
These Alnico magnets are joined by Ceramic counterparts, reulting in even more top-end presence and articulation. The end result is a set of pickups with explosve tone and plenty of harmonic content, making them ideal for modern metal music.
