A high quality and versatile drum head from Remo. The Remo Controlled Sound Clear 6" Black Dot Bass Drum Head features a high-quality clear design with a large black dot, offering focused mid-range tones with a well-defined attack. Featuring a single ply construction, this Remo head has a 10-mil clear film construction, with a 5-mil top black dot. The clear area of the head enhances the tone and offers incredible sensitivity, whilst the black dot offers increased durability and eliminates unwanted overtones.
In Use
Being just a single layer of 10-mil the tonal spectrum you can achieve with this head is vast from gut churning lows to power projected highs. The Black Dot not only adds alot of durability it controls those sometimes nasty over tones as well. Its like wanting to use a thinner head to get the ultimate tone out of your drums and you hit heavy and need that stick proof vest without sacrificing your tonal ideals.
As a bass drum head you are able to achieve a thunderous low end with the Dot helping to focus the tone and create's a fantastic feel while playing.
