The body is laminated ash, maple and walnut and looks fabulous with all the grain showing – and the neck is maple. The neck is bolted on and has a rosewood 22 fret fingerboard and a scale of 24.75 inches. The headstock has the ”Westone” logo and Westone tuners plus the serial number & Matsumoko stamped on the back of it; and the ”Thunder I’ logo on the truss rod cover.
The two pickups are open humbuckers – MMK 45’s, with a three-way pickup selector switch. The micro switch is a coil tap, so this guitar has plenty of variety available.
The knobs, nut and bridge/tailpiece are all in brass and the bridge has through stringing.
