The Fulltone MDV-3 Mini Deja Vibe 3 pedal is a meticulously crafted modulation effect designed to replicate the legendary sound of vintage Univibe pedals. This compact yet powerful pedal is an authentic Univibe clone, offering lush organic tones with throbbing, intense modulations. Fulltone has gone to great lengths to use components closely resembling the original ones, including cloned 1960s photocells with accurate rise and fall durations.

Fulltone MDV-3 Mini Deja Vibe 3 Pedal Features

  • Compact Design: The MDV-3 Mini Deja Vibe 3 is compact in size, conserving pedalboard real estate while delivering the iconic vintage Univibe sound. With dimensions of 3.9" W x 4.1" L x 2.3" H, it ensures convenience without compromising on sonic capabilities.
  • Authentic Vintage Circuit: The pedal boasts a 100% real vintage circuit, featuring 4 glass-covered/hermetically-sealed photocells and an incandescent bulb on the circuit board. Fulltone takes a unique approach by cloning real 1960s photocells, replicating not only dark/bright resistance but also the crucial rise and fall times.
  • Discrete Electronics with N.O.S Transistors: The MDV-3 uses totally discrete electronics, with no OPAMPS in the audio path, ensuring a pure signal path and maximum signal clarity. New Old Stock (N.O.S) Panasonic Matsushita 2SC828 transistors are employed for all stages, enhancing the overall tonal character.
  • Specialized Speed Potentiometer: Fulltone manufactures its own speed potentiometer, featuring a dual pot with a gear and a special taper similar to the original Univibes. The speed pot has an increased resistance of 200K, providing better slow speeds, and a double-screened carbon composition track for durability.
  • Heel or Toe Activated True-Bypass Footswitch: The pedal features a new heel or toe activated True-Bypass footswitch, allowing convenient on/off control with a simple flick of the heel or toe. Ideal for players who want to set the speed and switch the pedal on/off with ease during performance.
  • External Pedal Compatibility: An External Pedal jack enhances the pedal's versatility, allowing compatibility with a range of expression pedals with varying potentiometer resistances.
  • Hammertone Blue Finish: The MDV-3 sports a visually appealing Hammertone Blue powder-coated finish with white lettering, complemented by a blue LED that throbs to the pedal's rhythmic modulation.
  • Used by Renowned Artists: Renowned artists, including Robin Trower, Peter Frampton, Doyle Bramhall II, and many others, trust Fulltone MDV pedals for their authentic vintage Univibe tones.

The Fulltone MDV-3 Mini Deja Vibe 3 pedal stands out as an exceptional choice for guitarists seeking the unmistakable sound of vintage Univibe modulation in a compact, reliable, and visually striking unit. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, it continues Fulltone's legacy of delivering tools for musicians who prioritize great sound and refuse to settle for less.
