Introducing the Princeton Recording Amp from Fender, a modern take on the classic 1960s original. Designed in Mexico with cutting-edge manufacturing techniques, this amp delivers the iconic Princeton tone in a more affordable and accessible package.
Featuring a 10-inch Jensen speaker and all-tube preamp and power-amp circuits, this amp packs surprising volume for its 15W rating. What sets it apart is the addition of a 1U 'studio' rack below the control panel, housing a compressor, stomp-style overdrive, and Fender's Trans Impedance Power Attenuator for precise control over output tube overdrive and speaker levels.
With tube-driven Accutronics spring reverb, headphone output, line output with speaker emulation, and FX loop, this amp offers versatile connectivity for practice, recording, or live performance. The sturdy plywood cabinet with traditional Fender styling ensures both durability and classic looks.
While maintaining the vintage vibe, some modern upgrades like a more effective physical barrier around the tubes could enhance durability during transport. Overall, the Princeton Recording Amp combines classic tone with modern features for a versatile studio and practice solution.
