Being one of the world’s most popular 'go-to' guitars, the Fender American Standard Stratocaster has become one of the most iconic guitars to date and this model pays tribute to its legacy with some excellent features.
CLASSIC RECIPE
The body of the Fender American Standard Stratocaster is crafted from alder, a medium-weight tonewood that provides beefy lows and sizzling highs whilst maintaining a comfortable weight and close-to-body feel. This is finished in Black with a offsetwhite pickguard delivering a clean retro look.
COMFORTABLE NECK
The Fender 2012 American Standard Stratocaster has a comfortable modern "C" profile 25.5" scale maple neck. This particular model has a maple fingerboard with a gloss finish and contains 22 medium-jumbo frets, dot position markers and a synthetic bone string nut with a width of 1.685".
Other notable features involve the Bi-Flex truss rod system with 1/8" American series truss rod nut. The back of the neck has a satin finish to giving a fast and smooth playing experience and helps to ward off unwanted stickiness that can build up at long gigs in warm atmospheres.
VERSATILE TONE
When it comes to electronics the Fender American Standard Stratocaster excels with ease. To capture a full bodied tone that's capable of intricate rhythm right through to screaming leads you get a trio of Custom Shop Fat '50s Single-Coil Strat pickups, which are found in the bridge, middle and neck positions.
These can be controlled via the aged white plastic control knobs for volume and tone and there is also a 5-way pickup selector so you will have no shortage of customisation over your sound as you would expect from a Strat.
