A New Way to Use Serato
The DDJ-SZ2 sees an evolution of the Pioneer DDJ-SZ. Building on the paths trail-blazed by its predecessor, the new DDJ-SZ2 takes your Serato control to another level.
This new upgraded version of Pioneer’s flagship 4-channel controller allows you to make full use of new additions to Serato DJ such as key shift, key sync, pitch play and Serato Flip.
The latency of the jog wheel has been improved too so scratching is more responsive than ever while multi-coloured performance pads give you instant visual feedback on the playing status and pad modes.
New Options for Creativity
Three new Serato DJ functions have been embedded in the DDJ-SZ2; Key Shift, Key Sync and Pitch Play and you can play around with them all, adjusting them while mixing.
You can make great use of Pitch Play by hitting your cues across a wide range of different keys. Assign your Hot Cues to the Performance Pads to open yourself up to a new world of creativity and all at the touch of a button.
The professional-grade oscillator of the DDJ-SZ2 allows you to overlay your track with Drop, Laser, Noise or Siren by simply turning a knob – a great way to create more unique and versatile sounds. Use the dial to modulate and add further layers of texture to your tracks.
Perfect Performance with Superior Hardware
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-SZ2 has full-sized jog wheels with improved latency compared to the DDJ-SZ2’s predecessor so you get a much better response; perfect for lightning fast, seamless scratching. You can even use Jog Feeling Adjust to set the resistance to whatever suits your personal style.
Illuminated cue point markers and an accurate countdown for the jog wheels allow for ultimate precision and perfect timing.
The performance pads allow you to trigger Hot Cues, Roll, Slicer, Sampler Cue Loop, Saved Loops, Slicer Loops and Pitch Play instantly. Multi-coloured LED lights are used for each Performance Pad to give you a visual reference and instant feedback on your cue points set in Serato DJ, play modes in use and real-time response to activation.
The DDJ-SZ2 uses robust Magvel Faders to ensure smooth, faultless control even over long-term use. With two metal shafts supporting the fader knobs and a contact-free magnetic system these faders are designed to serve you well over millions and millions of uses.
Awesome Features
Other awesome features include the dual USB ports. By having two separate USB soundcards on board the DDJ-SZ2 you can connect two computers at once and use the top-loaded A/B switch for nice, seamless transitions.
A touch strip is provided to allow you speedy and intuitive “needle search”. Slip Mode allows you to keep tracks playing muted during live edits such as scratch, lobe and reverse. Just release the jog wheel and the track will come back in at exactly the right place.
“Sound Color FX” allows yout o trigger Pitch, Echo, Jet and Filter FX with handy push buttons. A D/A converted made by Cirrus Logic Inc., and a low-jitter crystal oscillator ensure accurate reproduction of sound sources, delivering clear and powerful club-ready sound.
