Matt McGuire's Pearl Signature Snare Drum features a 1mm Rolled Steel shell with 30 reinforced 1/3" vents around the bottom edge.
This unique design enhances snare response and delivers tonal bite.
This Beast's powder-coated Matte Black finish further tempers it's uniquely bright tone, and Pearl's reliably durable SuperHoop II 2.3mm Hoops and CL Bridge Lugs add weight for increased projection.
Matt's snare not only includes two additional badges featuring The Chainsmokers logo and Matt's Signature but it is also embedded with NFC Chip technology. A simple tap with any Smartphone instantly unlocks exclusive content created by Matt himself, you will get a unique insight into his creative process, get an inside look backstage and into the Studio for cover video breakdowns, and so much more.
McGuire's Pearl Signature Snare Drum is made to bring the arena-filling sound Matt demands from The Chainsmokers to any drummer that plays it.
Its unique tonal bite comes from a 1mm Rolled Steel shell that features 30 reinforced 1/3" vents around the bottom edge. This design boosts the response and adds a whole lot more volume due to the air in the shell being able to escape faster. The vents being closer to the snare side also increase's sensitivity and add intense articulation to ghost notes as well as projecting them greater than a regular snare drum would with just 1 vent
A decent amount of dryness and tone control too due to the powder coating and shell construction, with the heavier 2.3mm triple flange hoops letting the drum breathe but still giving you the ability for powerful more musical rim-shots.
