Martin’s popular Dreadnought Junior series is back with a newly updated Junior model that gives you the big sound of a dreadnought guitar but in a more manageable body size.

Crafting the New Junior Dreadnought
The newly updated Martin DJR model features a 000 body depth, so it is thinner and a lot easier to hold.
Coupled with this, the body now boasts softer back edges making It even more comfortable to play.
Spruce is used for the top as it is renowned for its rich tones and broad dynamic range that make it suitable for all styles of acoustic guitar playing.
Scalloped x-style Spruce bracing aids with resonance and projection while keeping the guitar build strong and maintaining low weight.
High Performance Taper Neck
The neck features a High Performance Taper that has the fretboard starting out with a 1.75” width at the nut increasing to a 2.125” width at the 12th fret. This makes chording nice and easy while facilitating easy and dynamic lead playing further up the neck.
The fretboard itself is made from FSC Certified Richlite. This remarkable material boasts low moisture absorption, is great to play on and is much more environmentally friendly than traditional fretboard woods.
Furthermore, the Martin DJR-10 has also undergone Plek treatment. This treatment requires the Prek Pro tool which scans each individual frets and machines them to a shockingly accurate degree.
As a result, you get an amazing fret dressing with a fretboard that plays like a dream.
High Quality Hardware
Like the fretboard, the Junior style belly bridge is made from FSC Certified Richlite and holds a compensated TUSQ saddle, offering great vibration transfer from your strings to the Spruce top.
TUSQ is another great material and has been made with high heat and pressure which results in a beautifully uniform saddle with great tonal consistency.
Up on the headstock, you’ll find six chrome finished enclosed gear tuning machines offering precise and secure tuning of your strings.
