Shell Construction: 100% 9-ply poplar shells, poplar being the standard material used across most brands mainly to sandwich other harder wood ply together such as Maple, Birch & Mahogany, here we have the workhorse of material venturing out on its own, a good thick 9-ply measuring 7.2mm means these are solid shells that are going to need to withstand a good thrashing. The bearing edges are the same SONIClear cut that Mapex use throughout their range which has been designed to ensure more shell-to-head contact, such design, improves shell vibration and improves greater resonance as well as easier tuning. the shells themselves produce a strong, deep fundamental pitch which is what we love

Paiste 101 cymbal pack: 14" hihats and 18" crash/ride are included with this drumkit, super affordability without skimping on quality, MS63 Brass alloy produces bright and pronounced punch that performs well within any musical context be it soft and subtle or heavy and bold, you can always add to your cymbals with more 101's here

400 series hardware pack: Mapex and we at PMT want you to be able to dig into this kit as soon as you unbox it so we are throwing in a complete hardware pack consisting of the 400 series hihat stand, cymbal stand, snare stand, stool, and the ever so brilliant P410 single pedal. As much as being a pedal from the beginner this is already a serious upgrade from the usual stock pedals you can get at this price range, featuring a super solid base plate usually found on higher range pedals, durable single-chain drive for a smooth but powerful quick response, reversible beater (plastic or hard felt) giving you quick tonal options while in the heat of battle and adjustable spurs that keep the pedal in place for a comfortable ride. as well as the pedal the P410 hihat stand is also a generous addition with a direct chain drive and the ability to adjust the tension allowing you to find the right feel and comfort, the felts are heavy duty and the double-braced legs feature slip-proof rubber feet and retractable spikes on the back rear plate, providing exceptional stability and durability on all playing surfaces
