Ludwig Traditional USA Craftsmanship
The Ludwig Club Date Classic Shell Pack. series of Drum Kits feature a matched tone wood 7 ply Maple/Poplar/Maple shell (2-ply maple outer, 3-ply poplar core, 2-ply maple inner) with a rounded bearing edges producing a resonant warm sound from the drums.
These hand-made USA crafted kits are designed for the drummer that wants pure vintage looks and sound with a modern design and construction and are perfect for both live and studio work.
Finished in Silver/Blue Duco adds real retro vibes to this drum kit and will look amazing at home, on stage and in the studio.
Hand-Crafted Maple/Popular Drum Shell Quality
These hand-built custom shells feature the traditional 3-piece FAB configuration. A 14" x 22" Bass drum shell, 16" x 16" Floor Tom, and 9" x 13" rack tom made with a maple/poplar/maple matched ply construction.
The combination of these woods offer the player a traditional well-rounded low-end, merged with mellow highs, and a prominent full midrange resonance.
Cut-with-precision Bearing Edge
Each bearing edge on every shell in this kit, is cut with precision at 45-degree angle, within 1/16" from the outer edge. A hand-sanded fine, even flat surface on these shells makes seating the drum heads much easier, transitioning a more balanced sound through into the shells, helping deliver that traditional Ludwig sound.
Prominent and Lightweight
Having centre bridge lugs this Ludwig shell pack has less added weight and drilling per drum results in a much more resonant and clean sound. It features a re-design of the Classic flat imperial lug for easier tuning and stability.
