A lot of drummers in the 60's were influenced into buying Ludwig Drums when they saw Ringo Starr playing one in that small band, The Beatles. Ringo's association with drum manufacture helped Ludwig become one of the most famous names in the drum world.
Hand-built in the USA, this Ludwig Classic Maple Shell pack comes with 22" x 14" Bass Drum, 16" x 16" Floor tom and 13" x 9" Tom
This kit will turn heads on stage and in the studio with its eye-catching attractive Red Sparkle finish.
Designed with Ludwig's heritage in mind for the pro-drummer that wants vintage styling with modern playability.
Hand-Crafted North American Maple Design
Constructed out of 6mm 7-ply North American maple, these hand-built shells are put together with a cross layering technique which strengthens each shell and produces an optimum performance out of each drum.
Ideal for a wide range of playing styles and performing situations, these Ludwig maple shells deliver high sensitivity, with a wide dynamic tuning scope and sharp attack.
RFST Moulding for full stability
The shells on the Classic Maple kit are constructed using Radio Frequency Shell Technology which maximises stability for each drum. The RFST's exclusive bonding system is combined with a specialised, time-tested adhesive to cure each shell evenly over the entire surface of the shell.
Cut-with-precision Bearing Edge
Each of the shell's bearing edges are cut to a 45-degree angle within 1/16" from the outer edge.
They are then hand-sanded down to an even flat surface, making the seating of the drum heads much easier, transitioning a more balanced sound through the shells, helping deliver that classic Ludwig sound.
