Featuring hundreds of effects and amps (all engineered to component level, distorting transistors, vibey photocells or funky wah wah inductors!), all of Line 6's experience of mastering the classics and formulating whole new range of sonic capabilities has gone into the Helix power plant.

The Line 6 Helix Limited Edition Gold has all the engineering you would ever need to create your dream rig with simple commands to your stompboxes, studio gear, live setups or computer. The Helix can sit as the heart of your guitar rig set up, with mid-song tweaks all possible via foot control and without having to reach for your board. All you need to do is customise your settings, name your presets and play.
All great amp designs have been considered when engineering the amp models for Helix, Real Tone whether you prefer vintage cleans, high gain British stacks or a modern tight grit. Line 6 stripped it all back and reconstructed it from scratch for pure, organic tone.

The Helix interface has gone through rigorous testing and optimisation, the scientists at Line 6 have created a system that's recognisable and intuitive. Huge tone without a too much to learn.
Clear Visuals and Controls
The large 6.2 inch 800x480-pixel LCD display all but eliminates troublesome menu-diving and provides the same level of precise control you would expect from an external editor. Featuring coloured LED rings and customizable scribble strips complete the user interface, informing you what each footswitch is doing at a glance. When it comes to creating tones, Helix can be as quick as you want it to be.
Create and Edit Presets Easily
One of the main goals of the Helix is to make it easier for musicians to interact with new technology that are intuitive, making the engineering of tones and sounds much easier. So, for the very first time, you won’t have to stop playing to tweak a knob. With the Pedal Edit Mode, you can edit any parameter you like using your foot: simply by selecting the block that you want to tweak, and its parameters spill out onto the footswitches, then select a parameter, and tweak the value using the expression pedal.
This gives you the capability to touch a footswitch and swiftly change parameters or easily appoint or learn controllers, Helix is the quickest tone designer of its kind in its existence and also the most flexible. Helix has FOUR stereo paths per preset, allowing you to engineer complex routing scenarios for each patch.
Creating variations on wet and dry routing schemes is as easy as loading a template or tweaking the joystick, and using the on board effects models in conjunction with the 4 freely-assignable effects loops means that the tonal possibilities are truly huge.

As its the one of most advanced guitar processor ever made, Helix can become the central focus for your entire guitar setup. Simply integrate traditional effects pedals and any other guitar hardware into your environment, creating a perfect hybrid rig that incorporates the best of what software and hardware is available.
Audio Routing at your fingertips
The Helix has the most adjustable audio routing ever seen on a guitar processor, thanks to its dynamically designated DSP. Manage the four effects loops to connect four separate pedal chains, or split them and use them as freely-assignable inputs and outputs. In fusion with four stereo paths, this means that you can process several instruments at once, send wet and dry signals to different places, and create large integrated systems that take advantage of both digital and analogue I/O at the same time.MIDI capability
The Helix offers full flexibility when incorporating external devices via MIDI. In addition to controlled real time MIDI control, the Helix can send up to six separate commands at patch recall that aren’t assigned to a footswitch, which means start a sequencer, turn a fader up or down on an external mixer or you can change a patch on a synth, all with one tap of a footswitch!
Add three expression pedals, CV/Expression out, and external amp switching, and Helix can be the command centre for any size rig.
