Excellent Crafting
The body of the Ibanez RG420HPFM is made from nyatoh but has a flamed maple top. This great looking would, combined with the Blue Reef Gradation finish results in a beautiful aesthetic that really takes the Ibanez RG420HPFM to the next level.
With its double cutaway shape, the Ibanez RG420HPFM allows for easy reach of the upper frets.
Attached to the body is a roasted maple neck which holds a jatoba fretboard with 24 jumbo frets.
This fretboard has a unique, reddish brown colour and adds a rich mid range with crisp high end to your sound.
Luminescent side dot inlays allow you to find your place on the neck, even on dimly lit stages.
Versatile Electronics
Giving you a diverse range of fantastic tones, the Ibanez RG420HPFM features extremely versatile electronics.
For the neck pickup, Ibanez have installed a DiMarzio Air Norton humbucking pickup. This humbucker is incredibly hot and gives the Ibanez RG420HPFM deep and warm tone with fantastic harmonics.
This is backed up by a DiMarzio The Tone Zone Bridge humbucker which boasts high output and a wide dynamic range.
A three-way pickup switch allows you to choose between using the bridge pickup, the neck pickup or both at once.
But that's not all; thanks to the addition of a coil-tap switch.
Using this, you can turn the Ibanez RG420HPFM's humbuckers into single coil pickups, doubling your available tones.
High Quality Hardware
Fitted to the body of the Ibanez RG420HPFM is a double locking tremolo bridge providing fantastic whammy bar action.
This bridge works in tandem with the locking nut ensuring incredible tuning stability no matter how hard you play and bend your strings.
Adding to the fantastic aesthetic of the Ibanez RG420HPFM, the hardware is gold throughout.
