Ibanez Quality Craftsmanship
The body of the SR505 is made of Mahogany and features a beautiful Sapphire Blue Flat finish. The deep horn cutaway in the body allows for easy reach of the higher frets; perfect for bass solos and adventurous bass lines.
The neck has an extended neck joint which results in a fabulously unique look whilst also making it easier to reach the high notes. The neck itself is a combination of Jatobna and Bubinga wood which has made the neck strong and stable despite how thin and playable it is.
Bartolini Pickups and 3-Band EQ
The SR505-SBF makes use of Bartolini MK1 Pickups. The split coil designed MK1 pickups provide a very wide frequency range with enhanced definition for high accuracy. The neck and bridge pickups are perfectly match so have equal response similar to traditional single coils but without any of the unwanted hum and noise.
For extra tonal options, the SR505 also makes use of an EQB-IIIS 3-Band EQ with mid-frequency switch. This allows you to tailor your sound to exactly how you want it, whether you want to enhance your low end, give the mids some extra punch or ring clearer at the high end.
