Solid Sitka Spruce, a standard in modern guitar crafting, has been used for the AE205’s top. Perfect for use as a resonating top wood in acoustic guitar thanks to a number of great qualities including its broad dynamic range and crisp articulation, the solid Sitka Spruce top makes the Ibanez AE205 electro acoustic guitar suitable for all styles of acoustic guitar playing.
Attached to the body is a Mahogany neck which features a satin finish making for an extremely smooth playing experience for your fretting hand.
Atop the neck is an Ovangkol fretboard which sports a specially designed wooden fretboard inlay, giving the Ibanez AE205 a unique and beautiful aesthetic as does the Abalone and Maple rosette.
Furthermore, a cutaway in the body of the AE205 allows for easy reach of the higher frets – a must have for guitar solos and other adventurous playing styles.
High Quality Hardware and Electronics
At the headstock, along with the Ibanez logo and graphic you will find chrome open gear tuners with 18:1 gear ratio allowing for extremely precise tuning.
A bone nut and saddle combination keeps your strings aligned nicely while adding a bright sound with enhanced sustain.
On the body of the Ibanez AE205 is an Ovangkol bridge, with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, facilitating great transfer of energy from your strings into the resonating solid Sitka Spruce top.
