Offering sublime tonal brilliance, the Hagstrom Viking Deluxe 12 String, seen here in the Wild Cherry Transparent, offers a maple design throughout the body and neck, which achieved a brilliant voice for this guitar. In addition to this, the Viking Deluxe 12 String equipped the guitar with our signature H-Expander truss rod and Resinator fretboard, both of which help to emphasize the octave strings and balance them with the fuller standard strings, creating a lush and chorale-like acoustic platform for our pickups.
The H-50 humbucking pickups installed in the 12-string model are specifically designed and voiced for this guitar, resulting in beautiful vintage-sounding clean tones that can be driven into new sonic territory when overdriven.
While the pressure exerted on the neck of a 12-string guitar can be a problem for traditional guitar designs, Hagstrom's unique H-Expander truss rod, inspired by aircraft designs used by Saab in Sweden, solves this issue and allows for an incredibly thin neck for playing comfort without compromising stability. The neck will remain straight for years to come with the Hagstrom Viking Deluxe 12-string.
