Vintage Meets Modern
True to those traditional Gretsch Jet specifications, the all-new Players Edition model comes complete with a chambered Mahogany Body topped with a piece of carved Maple. This combination results in a harmonically rich tone that features a naturally smooth attack when played, all of which is complimented nicely by the on-board Broad'Tron BT65 pickups.
Powerful Pickups
Designed by legendary pickup maker Tim Shaw, these all new Broad'Tron pickups featured on the Players Edition Jet are made with powerful Alnico V magnets, and deliver an incredible amount of tonal clarity. As versatile as they are, these pickups truly excel when used to push an EL84 valve amp into breakup territory.
Featuring that instantly familiar Gretsch Jet sound, these pickups are perfect for capturing the Players Edition Jet's acoustic resonance, and deliver an incredible sound whether you're playing clean or with effects.
Technically speaking, these pickups produce a powerful mid range, with extended lows, and an array of smooth bell-like highs. Not only that, but even with plenty of distortion on your signal these pickups remain as articulate as you could want.
Versatile Electronics
With two independent Volume control pots (one for each pickup), a 3-way pickup switch, and a Master Tone control, this guitar allows you to accurately shape your ideal tone for your situation.
Add into the mix a Master Volume control - along with a treble bleed circuit that ensures no tone is lost when rolling back the volume - and you have yourself a little masterpiece of a guitar that may look and feel like a vintage model, but has modern versatility on tap.

Gretsch Players Edition models, as standard, come complete with a range of premium-grade appointments, all of which ensure you can get the most out of the instrument performance-wise, whilst being reassured by its high-levels of stability.
