Vintage Stylings, Modern Versatility
While they may be similar in appearance to other single-cutaway models, the Gretsch Jet is packed full of unique features and electronics that help to set it apart from the rest. That traditions continues to this day in the shape of the fantastic new Players Edition Jet, seen here in a gorgeous Cadillac Green finish.
Chambered Body Construcition
In true Gretsch Jet fashion, the new Players Edition Jet is constructed with a chambered Mahogany body, and topped with a piece of carved Maple. This chambered construction results in the guitar producing a naturally smooth attack, with an extended and harmonically rich bandwidth.
This natural resonance is perfectly complimented by the newly-designed Gretsch Broad'Tron pickups.

Thanks to a a pair of brand new Tim Shaw-designed Gretsch Broad'Tron pickups, the Gretsch Players Edition Jet delivers a stunning amount of tonal clarity, whatever your output level is set to.
Featuring that familiar, charismatic, Gretsch-like tone, these powerful pickups help to accurately capture the guitar's natuaral resonance and full spectrum fidelity.
This results in an instrument that's fully capable of delivering the tone you want, whether it's fully clean, slight overdrive, or even high-gain distortion.
From a technical point of view: these high-power pickups perfectly compliment the guitar's natural voice, producing powerful mids, an extended low end, and an extremely articulate-yet-smooth range of highs.
In other words, if you crank up your gain levels to full, you may well end up rattling the windows, but at least every note will be as clear as day.
Pro-Grade Electronics
In true Gretsch fashion, each pickup has individual volume controls, but share a Master Tone, a 3-way Toggle Switch, and a Master Volume control.
Tucked away in the circuitry of the Master Volume pot though is a fantastic Treble Bleed circuit. This circuit allows you to reduce/increase your guitars volume without negatively affecting your overall tone.
Premium Players Edition Appointments
As standard, all Gretsch Players Edition guitars come complete with a whole host of high-end hardware upgrades to ensure the delivery of rock-solid stability combined with maximum performance levels.
These upgrades include an incredibly comfortable low profile neckset, and full-access rolled cutaway to give you full access to upper frets. In addition to this you get superior levels of tuning stability and sustain, thanks to the locking tuning keys, TUSQ XL nut, and anchored V-Stoptail.
