Vintage Style, Modern Versatility
The Jet has been one of Gretsch's most sought-after models for the best part of six decades - and with good reason too. These stunning looking, single cutaway guitars helped to define the very sound of rock and roll, and have always offered an incredible amount of versatility and playability.
With the all-new Players Edition Jet, Gretsch have taken things a step further and brought this prestigious model into the new millenium, with a host of new upgrades that will certainly appeal to the modern performer.
Chambered Construction
Although often touted as a "Solid Bodied Gretsch" the Jet has always had a hollow-chambered Mahogany body with a carved Maple top. This construction technique is largely responsible for that famous Jet tone, as it produces a naturally strong, punchy response when played.
For the new Players Edition Jet, Gretsch have opted for a modern chambering technique, which helps to deliver a tighter and more controlled attack than ever, but which manages to retain that hallmark Gretsch articulation.
Effortless Playability
With the aim of satisfying the needs of the modern player, the new Players Edition Jet comes with a lowered neck set that helps to improve your fret-hand mobility.
In addition to this, there's a brand-new full-access rolled cutaway and tapered heel, which come together to give you free and easy access to your upper frets.
Filter'Tron Humbuckers
Fully complimenting the Players Edition Jet FT's chambered body is a pair of High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbuckers. These fantastic pickups produce a wide, balanced and transparent tone that's perfect for cutting through the mix.
Whether you play lead or rhythm, through a clean channel, a heavily overdriven channel, or one laden with effects, the Filter'Tron humbuckers will remain articulate and toneful throughout.
High-End Electronics
As is usually the case with a Gretsch Jet, the new Players Edition model comes complete with independent Volume control pots for each pickup, along with a Master Tone pot and a 3-way pickup switch.
For this new Players Edition Jet FT, you also get a Master Volume control pot, that comes equipped with a Treble Bleed circuit. This circuit allows you to roll back your overall volume level without negatively affecting your guitars tone.
