Brilliant sound, great playability and an awesome look that is unmistakeably Gretsch, the Players Edition Tennessee Rose is the whole package.
Incredible Electronics with Filter’Tron Pickups
Giving the G6119T that great Gretsch sound is a pair of high sensitive Filter’Tron humbucking pickups.
Delivering crystal clear high end, glass-like midrange and full-bodied low end, the Filter’Tron humbuckers sound great, with beautifully balanced harmonics allowing your tone to blend perfectly with the rest of the band.
Squeezebox paper-in-oil capacitors have been used to bring in some fantastic vintage tone and a treble bleed circuit allows you to keep all that great high-end clarity, even when you roll off the volume.
Furthermore, a no-load tone pot is used, effectively taking it out of the signal chain for a truer representation of your sound.
A three-position toggle allows you to choose how you utilise the pickups, with the option to use the bridge and neck pickups individually or a combination of the two, while separate volume controls for each pickup, a master volume and master tone allows for further tailoring of your sonic presence so you can get the exact, customised performance you’re looking for.
Crafting the Tennessee Rose
The thinner, hollow body of the G6119T Players Edition Tennessee Rose was crafted from laminated Maple and features a single cutaway allowing for easy reach of the higher frets.
Using innovative Gretsch ML bracing that has been specifically voiced for this guitar delivers a beautifully distinct tone through synchronising the resonance between the top and back, creating great harmonising tone without unwanted, clashing overtones.
The Maple neck has a standard “U” shaped profile which feels both comfortable and familiar, allowing for easy playing.
Atop the neck is a traditional Rosewood fingerboard with a 12” radius. It holds 22 medium jumbo frets and visually striking pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays.
High Quality Hardware with Bigsby
At the top of the neck you’ll find a late ‘50s Gretsch style headstock which holds Schaller locking tuning machines that allow for quick, precise and extremely secure tuning of your strings.
Down on the body, the bridge is a rocking bar with a pinned Rosewood base to aid in transfer of the vibration from the strings to the body for enhanced resonance.
The G6119T Tennessee Rose is also fitted with Bigsby B6GP vibrato tailpiece allowing for that great vibrato action that is associated with so many great Gretsch guitars. It features a string-through design which enhances sustain while making it quicker and easier to change strings!
A GraphTech TUSQ XL nut can be found at the top of the neck, working together with the bridge to ensure stable tuning while maximising sustain.
