Walnut Maple Inlay Snare
The Gretsch Walnut snare is part of the “Full Range” Snare drum series.
This range does exactly what it says, it offers a full range of snare sounds that cover a wide variety of musical situations and styles.

8-Ply Walnut
The shell of this Gretsch Full Range snare is constructed from 8 plies of walnut.
Walnut drums are typically characterised by their reduced highs, with a smooth midrange and full warm, rich low end. Here the result is a snare with a vibrant resonant tone.
From snappy, cutting attack to punchy low-end tone this snare has it covered.
The accentuated low end tone of walnut serves to offer a great lower end tuning response with added bottom end when set to higher tunings. The Gretsch Walnut snare has a full, weighty tone with lots of body.
