Crafting the 2019 Les Paul Standard HP
The iconic single cutaway body of this Les Paul has been made from Mahogany and features Ultra-Modern weight relief so it is incredibly comfortable to hold and play, even for extended periods.
Adding to the incredible aesthetic of the Les Paul Standard HP, it boasts a AAA+ figured Maple top in a gorgeous Seafoam Fade with a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
Attached to the body is a Mahogany neck featuring an asymmetrical slim taper for ultimate playability.
An access heel allows for incredible reach of the upper frets and enhances the overall playability of this guitar.
The fretboard is Richlite; a fantastic material that is water-resistant, boasts low moisture absorption and is environmentally friendly.
With its compound radius, the fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut to make holding chords easier while it flattens out on approaching the neck joint for great low-action bends without fretting out.

Making this an incredibly versatile guitar is the amazingly advanced electronics that give you a veritable buffet of tones to work with.
The engine that drives the powerful voice of the Les Paul Standard HP 2019 is the set of dual BurstBucker Pro pickups with a BurstBucker Pro Rhythm humbucker in the neck position and a BurstBucker Pro Lead + found in the bridge position.
Gibson have installed a 3-way aviation grade toggle switch allowing you to choose between using either of the BurstBucker Pro pickups or a combination of the two.
Next, there is the HP-4 High Performance Circuit. While at first glance it looks like your standard two volume, two tone control layout, the truth is each of these knobs are also push/pull, giving you access to further tone-shaping features.
Furthermore, the body’s rear cavity discreetly houses a 5-position DIP switch for even more sonic sculpting options.
An absolute tone machine, the Les Paul HP 2019 really allows you to create your own signature sound.
Premium Hardware
Installed on the body of the 2019 Les Paul HP is an aluminium Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge with titanium saddles which, working in tandem with the adjustable titanium nut, allows for ultra-precise intonation while providing singing sustain.
Up on the headstock, you’ll find six Grover Locking Rotomatic tuning machines which provide incredibly precise tuning of your strings and securely locks them into place.
