The Gibraltar 12.7mm Clamp Style L-Rod Tom Mount can be used in conjunction with a clamp to provide secure mounting of a rack tom within your kit setup.
Tom Mount
Many drummers prefer a virgin bass drum because of the sound benefits it brings to the bass drum tone, which means they need to find an alternative place to mount the rack tom.
While some opt for a snare stand to position their rack tom, this typically results in a dampening of the tom’s natural tone.
Offering the ideal alternative, the Gibraltar 12.7mm Clamp Style L-Rod Tom Mount can be combined with a clamp to attach it securely to a hardware stand.
The L arm is 5 ¼” long to allow you to achieve your ideal height positioning based on the depth of the tom.
The downtube is 6” in length and has a diameter of 7/8” and comes with a memory lock fitted to ensure you achieve your perfect tom placement every time.
The tom mount has a clamp style housing to allow you to set the precise angle and position of the rack tom so that you realise your most comfortable setup.
Furthermore, mounting the tom from a hardware stand allows the tom to resonate freely for full rich tom tone compared to the dampened sound of a tom on a snare stand.
