Classic Mustang Style
The unique, offset body of the Fender Mustang is seen again here in traditional Alder.
With its curved shape and cutaway shoulder design, the Fender Vintera 60s Mustang is comfortable to hold and provides easy access to the higher frets which is great for guitar solos.
Adding to the retro-inspired looks of this awesome 60s electric guitar, the body holds a 4-ply aged white pearloid pickguard.
Vintage Playing Experience
Attached to the body is a ‘60s C-shaped Maple neck offering a classic, comfortable grip for your fretting hand.
The neck holds a vintage 7.25” radius Pau Ferro fretboard which in turn holds 22 vintage-style frets giving you the vintage playability enjoyed by the guitar greats of the 1960s.
Newly Voiced 60s Mustang Pickups
Really setting the Fender Mustang apart from its peers when it first burst onto the scene in the 1960s was its unique electronics and tone.
To give you that crisp, articulate tone that made the Fender Mustang so popular in the first place, the Fender Vintera ‘60s Mustang is equipped with recreations of the original pickups.
You’ll also enjoy the same versatile control over your sound that the Fender Mustang made a name for itself with.
A simple three-position toggle allows you to choose between using either pickup individually or a combination of the two when you set it to the middle position.
You also have the two classic pickup slider switches along with Master Volume and Master Tone controls to really shape your sound to perfection.
Vintage-Style Hardware
Of course, Fender have continued their commitment to authenticity and supplied the Fender Vintera ‘60s Mustang with vintage-style hardware from top to bottom.
At the top you have six vintage-style tuning machines featuring white buttons. With these you get the classic look and feel of 60s tuners while enjoy their secure and precise tuning of your strings.
Allowing you to get the deep and dynamic whammy sound so prevalent in 60s surf music and rock ‘n’ roll, the Fender Vintera 60s Mustang also features a floating Mustang tremolo bridge.
