Classic Fender Colour on a Brand New Design
Fender's 2018 "Alternate Reality" lineup offered enthusiasts a range of limited run models that asked the question "What if...?". The releases were so popular with players that the company have decided to extend the lineup for 2019, with models such as the incredible PowerCaster.
Fender PowerCaster
With it's totally-unique off-set body shape, roasted maple neck, shorter scale length (just 24.75"), and Humbucker/Soapbar pickup config, the new Fender PowerCaster is a hard-rocking guitar that would look great in any players collection.
The comfortably contoured, off-set Alder body sits comfortably against you when you play, whether you're seated or standing. Fender uses Alder in many of their more popular guitars, due to the warm tones, well-defined highs, and punchy attack that it offers.
In addition to this, the slim, Roasted Maple neck offers a truly smooth ride for your fretting hand, and is perfect for pretty much any play style.
High Powered Pickups
For the pickups on the PowerCaster, Fender opted for a combination of Humbucker (bridge) and Soapbar Single Coil (neck). This combo produces a unique tone for Fender guitars, and offers plenty of sonic versatility.
The Atomic Humbucker sitting in the bridge position is one of the hottest pickups in Fenders arsenal. This pickup offers a full driving mid range, with some excellent harmonic overtones, and a top end that's perfect for a crunchy edge.
Sitting at the neck position is a Fender MP-90 Soapbar single coil pickup. These standard sized Soapbars run a little hotter than a traditional P-90, and offers a thicker sound than your usual Single Coil would.
